[modeleng] Mallets - am I missing something

Hi there All,
I was just having a bit of a surf on the new, and came across this page:

In it we are shown a model of a mallet, but in the 4th picture down, we
are shown the on the model the rear set of drivers appears to pivot as
well as the front set.
Am I missing something: I thought on a mallet only the front set pivotted
(about a point between the two sets of drivers I assumed)?
