Yes; they pretty much duplicate the functions in the Yamaha editors.
Here is some of what you can do:
Manage voices, performances, and master setups on your Motif XS. This
means moving these items between memory locations, saving them to the
computer and reloading them (so this means that you can swap stuff like
voices and performances with other people).
You can edit every parameter that makes up a normal voice, drum kit,
performance, or master setup.
You can edit every parameter in the mixing setup of a song or pattern.
You can edit some of the system settings.

So in other words we will be able to basically get everything that the

Sorry, but the Yamaha software is completely inaccessible.
The only software that you need from YamahaSynth.com is either
the universal MIDI driver or the Motif AI driver for mLAN, depending on
if you're connecting your Motif to the computer with either USB or mLAN.
All of the other editing functions will be possible through John
Melas's editors.

Just was browsing some of the utilities on the yamaha synth site
before I downloaded the usb driver package. I take it that a lot of
these utilities such as the fine master will not be usable by those of
us who are blind, am I right? And just for clarification, what driver do
I need to install for the motif xs? Parden my ignorance folks.
