Missbirders,
Yesterday evening there was a single LARK SPARROW foraging in the grass to
the south and east of the Oxford Community Garden, which is located north
of University Ave, east of Bramlett St, in Oxford (just east of the new
city pavilion). Despite the small breeding population of this species in
northeast Mississippi, this is the first time I've seen one in Lafayette
County. JR Rigby was able to re-find the bird later and obtained some very
nice photos, starting here:
