The pond in northwest corner of the refuge was full of ducks this morning.
Across the road from the observation tower and about the third pond to the
south was full of geese. About half Snow Geese and half White-fronted. Several
flocks of shorebirds flew around. Lots of ducks and geese flew over. They were
probably searching for water. It has really been dry north through Panola and
Tunica counties.
