Hey Missbird,
This morning I headed to “the catfish capital of the world” to do some
shorebird surveys for Delta Wind Birds. There were good numbers of shorebirds
and waders throughout the site. Highlights included many White-faced Ibis,
Marbled Godwits, and a Olive-sided Flycatcher. The site is restricted
access/private but the ibis can likely be seen crossing the main road
(sunflower river rd) that bisects the moist soil areas. The Olive-sided
Flycatcher was seen easily from sunflower river road east of spencer road. It
was hanging out in a tree line overlooking a sunflower field.
