Hello,

I have a similar question about reducing the amount of output in the log
file. I'm trying to run an est hybrid denovo assembly on multiple strains --
2 strains contain 454 reads (~500,000 and ~300,000) and 1 strain contains
Sanger reads (~40,000). Is it okay to delete files from the log file while
the program is still running? My program has been running for close to a
week now and is taking up a lot of shared space, so I was wondering if you
had any tips for speeding along the process and reducing the amount of file
space that the log file is occupying.

Thanks!

Stephanie
