[mira_talk] Discrepancy in numbers

Bastien,
I understand that there might be some differences in reported contigs and so
forth between the assembly statistics file and the contig statistics one.
But here is what I get:
All contigs:

Length assessment:
------------------
Number of contigs: 191661
Total consensus: 185094585
Largest contig: 10606
N50 contig size: 376
N90 contig size: 225
N95 contig size: 182
The contig statistics file has a length of 320,582. That’s a big difference. Or
so I think. Should I not use the assembly statistics at all?
The assembly statistics file is a nice summary to have. But couldn’t it be
generated by a script from the contig statistics? Mostly anyway…..
