It sounds like you figured it out, but you didn't need to copy anything. Just 
add the bin directory to your path, or a symlink if you want to keep both 
versions available. Copying the mira4 binary to the mira3 directory can be 
confusing and might mess up Mira when it needs to find companion executables 
like miraconvert.
