Short-term project assistant position on ant mimicry
Azim Premji University, Bangalore invites applications from students
with a MSc degree in Biology (preferably with a life science, zoology,
or ecology background), who is motivated, curious, and with an eye for
detail.
This position is from June to August 2016, and would would work well
for someone who is based in Bangalore, but others may also apply. NET
qualification is NOT required for this post.

Fellowship amount: 12000+HRA
Brief summary of the project: Mimicry provides striking examples of
adaptation by natural selection. Ant-like resemblance is seen in over
2,000 species of arthropods, yet, interactions among ants, mimics and
predators have been poorly understood. The project will involve
collecting spiders, and ants, and carrying out behavioral observations
with them. Some amount of travelling may be required.
