If you haven't yet told Apple accessibility about your need for support of tables in word processor documents, please do so. Tables are well supported on the web, and while I know that's a different animal to tame, it shows they can be clever enough to figure it out when they put energyinto it. This speaks to the need for VoiceOver to mature and evolve in response to the needs of users, so users need to let 'em know what we need.
