Col, here are some tips for working with skype that I have used. First, most items you need are in the menus. the odd thing is the answer call item is not. hang up is. Using the item chooser list can hep you get around fairly easy if you know what your looking for. Press vokeys-i and type the first few letters of the text or control and you should see it in the list as you up and down arrow. Also, some of the skype controls do have help tags to find out what they are. press vokeys-h when on an unlabeled button and hear it's name or what it does. Contacts do not have to be imported from one machine to another. they are stored on the skkype servers and will be visible on whatever machine you log in too. What I usually do is when I sign in to skype I use fokeys right arrow to find the table of contacts. If you have voicemail or want to see missed calls if you vokeys-left arrow to the unlabeled button press vokeys-help and you should hear something like show history or show missed events. When you click this you will see a table to the right of the contacts view. I believe to the right of that is another unlabeled button called show history. if the first button you pressed was show history rathern then misssd events then the second button I believe turns back in to show contacts. use vokeys-h to find out what these buttons do. Also, when in a call hanging up is easy. What I found easiest is pressing vokeys- end to go to the bottom of the visible area. there is an unlabeled button that when pressing vokeys-h will say hang up. this can be pressed by pressing vokeys-spacebar. Hangup is also in the call menu. I find this button a little easier. Have a great day.

thank you I'm looking forward to talking to you at a later time,

are more suitable.
your skype address moved across to the Mac after I closed skype on
the PC.
this I didn't expect, so I now have your contact in the contacts
table.
both computers are connected through the same router.
It's taking me a little time, but with gratefully excepted help, I'm
getting
there.

guess I am not thinking of the time difference, it's 16:42 here at
present.
talk to you at a more convenient time.
Later, Col.

OK, we can e-mail or instant message back and forth tonight, but I
can't talk because my wife is sleeping. You have to use the menus for
what you are doing on the Mac. It doesn't have hot keys for actions
like Windows.

great, I received your invitation on the PC. not on the Mac as yet.
you came through as a voicemail so I left a message. I have managed
to
import some of the contacts from the PC.
had a call with one of them, still not shore how to end a call or to
handle
calls.
other than to go to the menu and arrow around the options, this of
course
takes lots of time.
hopefully you may be able to assist me in doing this better.

regards.
