Travis, what my donater did is not illegal. I've been asked to really not go into it, but I assure you, I spoke directly with Apple, and they told me the way my donater did this is perfectly legal, and I'll stand to defend him on that till the day we both shall die.

Didn't you get original disks with this machine?
If not, then the person who sold/donated/gave it to you did so  illegally.
I'd go back and ask them where the tiger disks are.

But, as for alternative browsers, shiira has already been mentioned, and there's others, just perform a search for osx and web browsers. But, seriously, try group mode, you may be surprised at how different your browsing experience is.
