Dear Folks,Thanks for the answers about how you are able to use the Mac and VO to get your daily tasks done. I have been a Mac user since 1989, and I have no doubt which I would want. I teach the use of JAWS screen reader and Zoomtext (screen reader plus magnification), but I preach Mac. I also bring my machine (ibook with tiger) to demonstrate the Mac's abilities. My students are all Vocational Rehab clients, all adults with at least a high school education, and all come to me to learn how to use a computer, to upgrade their job skills. Many of my students have little or no computer skills, and most have very limited resources to buy a computer. Vocational Rehab will only buy the computer or software after the student has a job. I am able to lend the students a computer while they are in the 15 week training classes, and from time to time I have enough machines that the students can keep one for a longer time. But, all the machines I have to lend out are Windows. I can hardly wait to get the VO advances that I think are going to be available in the new 10.5 os.
Thanks again for your responses. I will share these with my students. MLP
