Hi Keith,
I was hoping the issue would be resolved in the last iOS update, but no such
luck! Maybe the next one? :)
Cheers,
Russell

Thanks Russell for the note. Well it is still happening however the old
adage is that every problem has a life span.
Thanks for the work around.
Heres hoping.

Hi Keith,
I posted to this list a little while back with this issue on my new iPhone
XR that I purchased back in November. A month or so ago, I worked with Apple
support to try to resolve this issue. I took my iPhone in to the Apple store
twice, and they didn’t know how to fix the issue. The second time I went in,
they replaced my iPhone with a new one, but the same thing happened. At that
time no one else was reporting this issue, so I thought I was the only one
having this issue. The person who exchanged my iPhone for a new one said she
would contact the engineers at Apple and that hopefully in an upcoming
update the issue will be resolved. I was hopeful that the latest update that
came out a week or so ago would fix the issue, but no luck. I just signed up
for a free month of Apple News, and as others have said, this happens there
too, but not quite as frequently as in Safari. Everyone having this issue
should report it to Apple!
I did find a way around this until the issue gets fixed. I switched from
using the native Apple Mail app to using the Gmail app. Now, when I click on
a link within an email message, the link opens in Chrome, and I don’t have
this issue in Chrome. I also use Chrome as my browser instead of Safari,
but, sometimes clicking on a link within Chrome will open the link in
Safari, and the issue occurs again.
Hope this gets fixed soon.

Hi folks,
Well I recently got an iPhone Se. Ok its not new but at least it is not as
old as my 5S.
First of all let me say that I have tried this with several articles on the
web and most of the time I have the following problem.
I have the reader selected and the latest updates.
Voiceover will start reading and for seemingly no reason the web address
will be spoken. The only way I can find to stop this is to get far enough
down the page and then it reads fine.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
