then a list needs to be set up fore windows stuff on a mac
that way the 2 can be separated

You say that you can't save anything. That you try to download a program and it won't let you.

How are you downloading? With Internet Explorer in Windows? With a Mac app to a shared folder?

Also, where are you trying to save this download? TO your My Documents folder in the virtual machine? To some shared folder?
