I think you can "duck" any kind of track, which simply means you pull it back in volume for a certain amount of time. Instead of fading it in and out, you "duck" it into your other tracks so that it isn't as prevalent. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Tuesday, March 18, 2008 8:19 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: ducking: so it's a toggle then? ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Hess" <johnythehess@xxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, March 18, 2008 8:51 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: ducking: Ducking is when you have a music track and a voiceover comes in during the track. The music level will drop a bit to accommodate the voice and let it be the predominant sound with the music under it. Once the voice finishes the music will return to the normal original level.
