Thanks John, good point. More likely I just did something stupid, thats the
thing I do best, grin, smile, wink.

Some of the voices are large and need to be downloaded. It’s possible the
voice was simply needing to complete downloading before it could be used.

Hi Mark,
I did not use the rotor but I found out that I missed a step I guess. Once
I tapped on the voice I selected it worked fine. The strange thing is I had
already done this several times but now it works every time. Strange.
Thanks for taking the time to lay it out for me.
Keith

Hey, Keith:
I’m running IOS 13.6 and I just checked:
If you go to
Settings / accessibility / voiceOver / Speech, under the heading Rotor
Languages, should be listed all those you’ve downloaded, as well as an “add
new language,” button. If you add all the languages to the rotor, and then
rotor around to “language,” and swipe up or down, you should be able to
change from the default to those you’ve added. The default voice is set
with the first “voice” button under the Speech heading.
I’m afraid these are the instructions you’ve already followed, so I’m sorry
if this is less than helpful. I just added the Susan English US language
to the rotor, though, so I don’t see a bug in here.

Hi folks,
I really could use a little help. I have voices downloaded on the phone
but I can’t seem to change them. I followed the instructions but no joy.
Ideas?
Thanks.
