Well Sam,

Kind of hard to remember just exactly what I did now, but, I know I
unchecked the box that says "let ITunes organize files" or something like that.
Then, I just also needed to make sure that I unchecked the grouping items
check box as well. After that, I just navigated manually to a .m3u list and
pressed enter, (or perhaps I should say return), on it.

Looks like I'll need to do the same thing you're having to do then; blast it; I
was hoping not to have to.

Okay, so, here's what I'm going to do. I pressed the reset button in ITunes
advanced preferences tab because I want to start all over from scratch now I
have your instructions how to build a playlist. Are the instructions you gave
me the only ones for how to build or add to a playlist? Somebody, (can't
remember who now), indicated there was another way. Anyhow, this thing aint
gona beat me. I'll conquer it yet!!!! Thanks.

Sincerely,
The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray!!!

What I'd like to know is how in blazes did you get your m3u playlists to play
in iTunes? I have many of those but I can't get them to do a thing. I
suspected it was a path problem, the Mac not recognizing a drive letter, so I
edited one of them using the Mac's designation for my external drive but to no
avail. To actually answer one of your questions, there is no way to convert
old m3u's in iTunes and, that being the case, I really don't think you can add
to them. I'm having to build my playlists all over again from scratch, grrrrr!
