One correction. You can make phone calls as long as your mac or iPad is on the
same wifi network as your iPhone. Handoff requires that bluetooth be enabled.
This s the feature which allows you to start an email on one device and switch
to another while picking up where you left off on the first. Sending sms
messages from the mac and placing phone calls do not require bluetooth to be
enabled.
