Oh, I forgot, no I am not able to hardwire connect to the router… it’s quite a
long way from my iMac, although my girlfriend does have an extremely long
network cable, so I may have her bring it over and try it out.

Only other suggestion is to turn your wifi router completely off,
disconnecting the power plug for 30 seconds then turn it on again, this may
reset any errors in the modem.
I am using bluetooth keyboard and mouse is connected though I don't use it.
I suspect the router/modem and suggest you ensure the problem is not with
that rather than your iMac.
Can you hardwire connect to the router ?

disconnecting. It shows as being connected when I look at the WIFI icon in

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and, if so, have you found a fix?
