Just a heads up regarding Pages and Numbers. While they are the equivalent to
MS Office, there are a few things that lack the power/authority you get from,
for example, JFW with MS Word. Primary among these is the use of tables, which
don't work under Voiceover. Apple Accessiblity says this is on the radar, but
the last thing they told me was that nothing could really be done until an
update to Pages itself, which hasn't happened since 2009. I also find I don't
have the same control over things like columns.

There are a couple of free word processors out there which do a decent job. I
currently use Bean quite a bit, especially for documents that need headers and
will end up as pdfs for people.

One thing to remember is that the Jaws people and the MS Office people worked
together with a particular focus on workplace productivity. Other things got
left out in the process. My needs shfited from document production to a need
for coordination, so seamless interactivity through my phone and Mac through
iCloud became really important, and I settled for *good enough* in terms of
documents.

Just some thoughts,

Ian
