you can type on the iphone and follow with the braille display. It'd be tricky
but I have done it.

Hi,

I am unsure how typing on the iphone would be done without being able to hear
which letter your finger is touching.

Of course, bluetooth keyboards can now be connected, and presumably, the
braille display would show which letter is selected before entering it.

I can imagine handing someone the iphone or ipod touch and they could type
where you could see their words on the braille display and your typing would
show up on the iphone.

this could even just be done in an edit window like the notes application.

Other than the braille display, the setup would be just a few hundred dollars.

I don't know about keyboard and braille display at the same time, nor how text
entry with some braille displays could be done. I think the Braille Star can
do this?? I have no idea how the iphone handles it though.
