There’s a podcast on the slide keyboard from AppleVis. I have not listen to it.
This phone has been updated to 13.1, and maybe I haven’t done enough typing.
But I haven’t had any problem with what little typing I’ve done. I haven’t seen
the slide keyboard feature, and I don’t want it. Where did you go to get rid of
it?

One thing I did was disable the new slide keyboard feature. It’s an on board
swipe style keyboard, a native feature of the new iOS. I found that it
conflicted with the standard voiceover ways of using the keyboard. I couldn’t
find anything online that indicated how to use the new keyboard with
voiceover, hence the disabling action. Does anyone know if this keyboard will
be, or is already, accessible to voiceover users? One nice thing, with the
update to 13.1 the lagbetween activating Siri or dictation and getting the
tone to do voice input is gone on my Bluetooth headset.

Thanks for the warning. I am supposed to receive my new iPhone today and I
have been very nervous about the update. Anything in particular I should
look out for? As I’m not sure I will have an option to upgrade the software
with it being a new phone.

Hi, Keith:
What problems are you having with IOS 13.1? I hope I find your message in
interesting counterpoint with my latest one, and I have encountered nothing
but improvements since Upgrading.

Hello every one,
At one time you could download the latest Apple update and know that it
was going to work well, but not at this time.
Please for your own pease of mind give it a week or 2. Things have
changed some what at Apple and you now need to be more careful.
FYI.
