Thanks for the steps Dave. I'm going to recreate the process I used and post it as well. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2008 8:48 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Solved it was Re: Deleting accounts. HI Dave, Here are the steps I used: 1. Interact with the "Users, Groups and Login options". 2. Interact with the "other accounts" table. 3. Vo+DownArrow to desired account to delete. 4. Check that the desired account is selected by doing vo+f5 and vo+f6 (for beginners only and maybe you don't have to use both. 5. Click the mouse with Numpad5. 6. Activate Item Chooser and hit d. 7. Choose delete users from the Item Chooser list and then vo+Space to activate that item. 8. Follow the prompts and you're good to go. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Saturday, 26 April 2008 10:41 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Solved it was Re: Deleting accounts. hmm, I never had to click the mouse. I will have to do this again and write out the steps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2008 7:54 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Solved it was Re: Deleting accounts. HI Dave, Thanks for your help. I finally managed to delete user accounts. The only step I was missing really was to click the mouse once I interacted with the "other accounts" table. Then the item chooser did the rest. Again mate, thanks for the help. Hi Dave, see if you can get to the delete button by not stopping interaction with the main list. just stop interacting with the accounts list. I actually set up ann account and deleted it a while back so I could write the steps out but don't remember all of them. I do know that it was sort of fuzzy and the remove button just appeared. I almost tried to remove the rong account. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 2:54 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Deleting accounts. Hi Dave, Yep, tried that just after I wrote my last reply to you. That item choosers going to be very handy indeed but not just yet. I'll get to the bottom of this for sure. Oh and I made sure the dialogue was not locked and I also insured that none of my folders relating to this account were shared. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Saturday, 26 April 2008 1:54 AM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Deleting accounts. Dave, You can always try the item chooser to see if you can get it to work. remember to unlock the dialog. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 11:11 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: Deleting accounts. HI Dave, I managed to find the users, groups and log list and I interacted with it. I think that is the first thing I did cause I thought that this would help me then I found other accounts and interacted with that table. I then did a vo+down arrow to the account I wanted to delete. Then I released interaction from that other accounts table and released interaction from the users, groups and login list but that's where I got stuck as I could not find any user account listing apart from the ones already mentioned to interact with. But I will try again. Thanks for the tip. Hi David, Interact with the users, groups and login items list, after unlocking the dialogue of course, find users and interact with that table, when you are positioned on the account you wish to delete provied you are not logged into it, move to delete. This is tricky to do much less explain at least for me but that's basically how it works. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Truong" <bnfiles@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 10:44 AM Subject: [macvoiceover] Deleting accounts. I want to delete a standard account which I created but I can't seem to find any way to select the desired account so I can delete it.
