I am not technically competent enough to identify what is happening and it may
be the Brave Browser that causes it, but I have sent a requested file to Apple
which may show something .
I get the not responding comment in Safari occasionally, even in Logic but
particularly in Brave while scrolling through comments. Plus there is erratic
jumping around similarly to Suzannes comment.
I float through Time and Space like a treeless leaf.

Got it, thanks. In giving it a try it didn’t clear up the issue I was
previously having with th Notes app. The Safari not responding behaviour
doesn’t happen enough for me to definitively say this made it better.

Ian, I can still move around using VO and arrows or Quicknav, but the
keyboard focus does not correspond so makes it impossible to enter data, I
could use ctrl opt command and f4 to move the keyboard focus to the VO
cursor but would have to continuously do this.

Can you provide any pointers on how to move around with the focus
unchecked? The things I’m used to like VO J don’t seem to work, I assume
becaues they’re not pulling the focus with Voiceover.

Thanks Suzanne, it is most obvious to me when I scroll through YouTube
comments in Brave, not in Safari, which is sluggish more generally.

Hello,
I also have sluggish VO, but disabling the synchronicity has not helped
me. I tried it, but it didn’t help the situation.
I also called Apple Accessibility last week about the problems I’m having
with Sonoma. I am also having an issue where the cursor will sometimes
move unexpectedly. While attempting to use the mail app, for example,
focus will leave the mail app, and jump to finder without me having typed
anything.
Needless to say, I was unable to send a picture to Apple, because the
problem is intermittent.
I wonder if it could also be a hardware issue, because my touchpad is
supposed to be inactive; but sometimes, if I swipe it by accident, it
reacts as if it were turned on.
Have a great day.

I have a reply from Apple Accessibility regarding my comment that when
unchecking synchronicity between keyboard focus and the VO cursor the
sluggishness disappears.
No-one else on this list has replied that you also notice this. I would
like confirmation from others so I can also report this to Apple.
Thanks.
