you might need to reset your router.

Hi everyone,
I am finding that I am getting very slow download speeds with my
Mac. I had a D-link D-540 wireless router that was over 5 years
old, so I thought that perhaps this was the problem. I bought a new
D-link wireless router, a W-2310, but the problem continues. I had
the folks from my cable service provider come down and check things
out, and the speed is fine up to the point of the cable modem. The
fellow couldn't troubleshoot the wireless connection as he said as
far as their service went, things were fine. I used to get download
speeds of anywhere between 500 - 700 kbps, but now I'm only getting
speeds of 85 kbps. Is there some setting on my Mac that may be
causing this slow download speed? I can't imagine that it's my
router as the speed is similar with two separate routers.
Thanks for any ideas,
Russell
