My experience using M-audio Axium midi controller with GB is that GB will not
accept midi volume controller data.
Other data, yes, but not volume or pan.
At least not in real time adjustment. You can set a volume for an Instrument
but no variations in real time are recorded.
Saying that, there are some String Instruments in the Jam Packs that are set up
with the Pitch bend assigned to volume and these changes are recorded in real
time.
