Maybe it's difference in configuration, whatever. The fact is, some areas, like web browsing, are very lacking. The mail client is nice, best I've ever used. Adium is also great, as is the twitter client that I can never spell. Voiceover has been a thorn in my side, crashing frequently when doing things that, before 10.6.6, never happened. Hopefully Lion will fix the frequent crashes and improve Voiceover's interaction with Safari, especially. There are still some things that I must use windows for, most notably being playing MUDS, which is fine, because I know that's not a very popular thing. Also, other than Solona, which I have had very bad experiences with as compared to Web Visum, there is no accessible solution for solving captious on the Mac as far as I know. Vuscan is great, and I suppose if I took the time to learn an entire new interface, I could do my audio editing on the Mac too. For now, I'm still an avid Gold Wave user. I've also used pages with great success. I'll still keep my Mac and continue to update as each new version of an OS is released, hoping that things improve. All this having been said, I think that some of the "problems" on this list are not "problems," but rather people not knowing how to do something or knowing how to do it half-way, and that is what we're here for, to educate and help each other. The built-in accessibility, of course, is still the driving force behind Mac for me. Oh, and we can't forget the system-wide spell checking capability rather than having to depend on a particular plug-in or program as you must do in Windows. And the way Voiceover handles mouse support is just spectacular! James A.
