In most cases, to read by character, you would use the vo-shift-right/
left arrows to move a character at a time.
However, if you're in an address field, this won't work. You'll need
to vo-space on the address, and in the pop-up, select copy, then paste
it into text edit or something, then you can use the vo-shift-right
arrow to read it a letter at a time.
However, if you just want to reply to it, then just click on it (with
vo-space) and it will pop-up a box with options, one of which will be
send email to that address.
If it's in the text of a message, it will show up as a link. In that
case, just clicking on it with vo-space will automatically launch a
new message with the to: field already filled in for you.
Hope this helps.
