Hi Mark,
If your Mac has Catalina, it doesn’t have iTunes. To find the iPhone, open File
/ New Finder Window. Look in the sidebar. You’ll find the iPhone under
Locations. Should look kind of familiar from there.

Hi, Buddy.
Would you believe, this MacBook Air did not, apparently, come with iTunes on
it? I cannot find the iTunes app in the App Store, either. So, while I have
the phone connected to the Mac, I can’t restore it or do anything; can’t even
find it at the moment. I really don’t want to erase stuff, but I might have
no choice. Problem is, I got this phone through the ICanConnect program, and
apparently it is “administered,” by a company called TelTex, so even just
doing a soft reset will not work, according to Paul Sandoval, my tech guy
with that program. Anyone got a number for TelTex?
Frustratedly

Hey Mark,
If you don’t have the right cables or adapters, you can try this, although
it may not work if your iPhone doesn’t get some sort of Internet signal.
Go to http://iCloud.com/find
Find your iPhone and select it. Then click on “Erase”. Leave all the prompts
for the phone number and such blank and click erase. It may take a while to
erase, but it should. Alternatively, you can erase it from the Find My app
on another iOS device.

Hi, all:
I have never connected my iPhone 8 to this MacBook Air; I’m not even sure I
have the right cable to do that. This morning, after a recent upgrade to
IOS14, my passcode is not working; my iPhone 8 is currently locked down for
an hour. I need to reset it, but all the Apple pages tell me to do this by
connecting it to my Mac. I have never done that, because as I said, I don’t
have the cables, I don’t think. So how can I restore my Phone and then get
all my data off the cloud? Thanks.
