ah, ya mean you got a midi keyboard? Not sure. you may need to dig into
setup for that.

Well, I have an external keyboard. But should I pull up the keyboard on the
keyboard? <smile> Will that make the sounds come up? I've just updated my
garage band software, but I'll go check and see which version it is.

are you bringing up the musical keyboard with command-shift-k? which
version are you running? there seem to be two up to date versions, one
begins with 3 and the other with 4.

This was about to be my same question to the list. I played for awhile with
garage band today, and although I can use the list-box to arrow down to
various instruments, I cannot seem to select or play any of them. Anyone
else have any luck with this? I can find "drum kits" or "guitar," for
instance, and then go to another list to select the certain genre of
sound--e.g. R&B drum kit, but I cannot find options for the drum kits or
play them. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hello all,
I haven't seen any responses to my post on getting access to the loop
browser in GarageBand. All I seem to get are buttons without labels.
Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know if there is going to be a function in the
future for labeling buttons?
Thank you.
