points then save to disc then import that file back into the project as a

It needs to be in one track because that’s what the tutorial on AppleVis said
to do. Looks like it is to learn ohow to string 3 regions of four bars each
together to make one lead guitar solo of 12 bars that can then be looped. I
guess maybe it would be handy to be able to treat it as one track for panning
and volume and such.

if you wanted to paste into an existing track you probably need to first
paste into a new track then go into that track in the track contents and
copy and paste the region.
if it is an audio track it will only be affected by the plug-ins already
assigned to the track. if it is a software track it will also take on the
software instrument assigned to that track.
Why does it have to be placed on the same track ? when you save to disc it
will all be on one track.
i work solely in logic now so some of my replies may not seem to apply but i
opened a gb project to look at your questions.
if you find that you are doing more and more sound and music projects you
will find logic a superior app to use, though it will cost a few dollars, it
is worth the investment.

Also, I’m at the part of the AppleVis blog lesson where I’m supposed to
paste a loop into a track, putting one 4 bar lead guitar loop after another
instead of creating a new track. Everything I’ve tried so far creates me a
new track instead of adding a region in my existing track. Any wisdom on
this?
