to be honest, the mac is a computing platform. therefore, it's perfectly possible that, someday, someone will code viruses for it. But, due to it's unix base, it's not going to get infected by the thousands of pc viruses out there. There are probably 1 or 2 viruses for the mac. I personally don't bother with AV software on the mac, and have known people that have used macs since the apple lisa in 1983 and before who don't bother with it iether. There are some though: virus barrier express, clamsav, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.
I wouldn't get a paid one though just not worth it in my oppinion. ash Website: http://www.ashleycox.co.uk Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/ashleycox2 Blog: http://daysofthegeek.blogspot.com On 13/04/2011 18:01, Benjamin Blatter wrote:
Hi to all Is it true that mac users don't really have to worry about using antivirus programs? I hardly can imagine that. If I'm correct, which program would you suggest using?
