If you are not seeing the event details screen, make sure you check the
window chooser menu. Sometimes, you need to bring the focus to that window.

After you type the title of your event, press enter to view the events
details options. As a tip, it’s easier if you include the start time and date
for an event. So, for example, when you type a title, something like,
Doctor’s appointment on February 10 at 2 PM
would set up the event to start on February 10 at 2 PM without you needing to
manually do this.
