there is one app but it’s a very expensive basis to do work with and neither
John or I can afford to adopt it into our workflow for mac for the blind. it’s
a product called LogMeIn Pro. you have to have Log Me In Pro and Log Me In
Central server to perform everything including voiceover support. it’s not 100%
perfect but from a road test, it works OK. the issue is the yearly expense. for
what it is and what we need it for, it’s not viable.

the reason you need both pro and central is this. Log Me In Pro supports audio
streaming and direct control of a whole OS from start to finish including the
ability of controlling a shut down, restart, etc and re-intercept. Central is
needed to set up a policy with the client machine and manage it’s status,
communicate with the client and manage scheduled reports. if a crash occurs,
you have access to the logs, etc. you can do repair man-pages and present the
client with invoices if applicable.

I have examined a plethora of applications, resources and online VNC systems
and very fuew are accessible, in fact there are only 3 mac supported
environments and all are costly.

Remote Desktop 3.7 will work for a sighted person to do full system wide
control but for a voiceover user is impossible because there’s no audio
streaming, no voiceover support key functionality, etc. Voiceover works only
within the main window environments to perform logs, package to network admin,
etc. that’s it.

sorry.
