[mac4theblind] follow-up to protable preferences question

Hi again,
I may be dense but when I put the portable preferences on my drive and then put
it on my own mac nothing seemed to happen differently. Is this because the way
it would work is putting in to another mac would cause the preferences to work
and the prompt as to whether I wanted to use this drive?
