The media back up switch uploads all of your media podcasts to iCloud. It does not back it up to iTunes. If you hit the switch you will get a prompt telling you this. i did a podcast on down cast some time this year. Search for it at http://tffppodcast.com/listen as I cover the whole app and then some.
