what kind of properties of an email message are you wanting?
for a file folder or anything in the finder, try command-i

Hi Tracey not completely sure if this works but try command comare I
believe. Sorry I can't spell the word correctly. I'm talking about the
button to the right of the period button. LOL Good luck and for anyone
