I am told that you can run the installer from another location other than the app[lications folder. In other words, normally, you copy apps to the applications folder before running them. In this case, I have been told that you should run Dropbox outside of the application folder for the first time. You might have to remove it form your login items in User and Groups in System preferences and then reboot before you attempt to install. Take Care John D.
