No. The situation that causes it to play is that I press power button to bring
me to the screen where I unlock the phone or read notifications and a song
begins playing. It’s generally been a song that I find is listed in suggested
song for me. Occasionally, a song will start playing when I end a call, even
though no music was playing before the call. As I said before, this happens
even though the app is turned off in app switcher. I can certainly understand
it if I was listening to music or something, but when it’s not on at all and
nothing was on the screen before, it’s a bit disconcerting to have it pop up
from no where when I try to use the phone or read notifications. I’ve looked
all through settings and don’t see anything. So, if anyone has any ideas, I’ll
be pleased to know. The last time it happened, I stopped the music and went to
app switcher and made sure music was not on and it was not showing in the app
switcher at all, so the heck if I know. Weird!

Hi Tracy. Sound check makes your music play at the same volume as all your
other phone sounds. As for music playing automatically, could you possibly
be doing a two finger double tap without knowing it?

Subject: [mac4theblind] Apple Music Settings
What does sound check mean in Apple Music settings? Also, I just started
using Apple Music a few days ago. Now at odd times, music comes up on my
screen where I unlock and a lot of times a song just starts playing. I have
no idea why it does this and sometimes it is very inconvenient. This happens
even when the music app is turned off in app switcher. Any ideas?
