This is an excellent idea!
Unfortunately, no live CD with LSR currently exists. In the meantime,
however, I'm told it's possible to use the Ubuntu LiveCD and then install
the Deb packages. Instructions on installing the Ubuntu package, along with
links, can be found at:

We haven't yet tried to run LSR using the Ubuntu LiveCD ourselves, so at
this time we cannot verify it will work. When we do try, or if we hear from
someone else who does (perhaps yourself?), we'll make instructions available
from the live.gnome.org/LSR web site.
Longer term, however, I think a LiveCD with LSR included and running by
default is the way to go.
