[lit-ideas] after the storm

After a few days' break [one, probably rightly imposed by "moderation" and the second, voluntarily in order to collect my own thoughts] away from our beloved list, I feel the need to send one last post for the time being.

I'm sure anyone who has been reading for the past few years knows that _I_ value this list, talk about this list to other people who are not on this list and even feel I sort of, kind of, know a lot of you in as much as you will reveal in this bizarre world we live in for minutes each day.

Because of that, I feel sorry for my pugnacious emails aimed at Irene (aka Andy Amago) on Friday night. Not for the emails themselves of course, but because I let my emotions run over my intellect in a fit of exasperation and lost the ability to display any semblance of diplomacy.

So, I have to do what's best for everyone and what is best is to categorically impose a moratorium [on myself] on posting any kind of a response to Andy. She exasperates me. And the reason I responded on Friday was not simply because of what she wrote on Friday. It was me [some would say "I", but I wouldn't] blowing a fuse after seeing just the latest painfully misthought exhortative reprimand by AA on a fellow list member. I shouldn't have done that. I apologise.

So... I am resolving to stop talking to her about anything. In the future, if something happens on the list that I object to, I will send THE offended party a private, supportive email, the way others have sent their kind words to me in the past. I will try to abstain from dealing with any disagreement on the list. I'm embarrassed that I let this affect me and consequently showed me to be an ineloquent bastard, if only for 90 minutes.

SO... with that... I'm out of here for a while. I hope to talk again soon. Right now, I don't have anything interesting to say.

Paul
