Scantily clothed women are, well, scantily clothed and something of a yawner. They all look the same. So do noisy gadgets after a while. Some of the Bond movies are cleverly humorous, with all the little comments, and it's all so cool. I'm like Alex (Madagascar) in the zoo, the antithesis of a Bond movie fan. I think Bond fans are more like Marty. They want adventure, excitement; they're (pun intended) driven to escape. Sometimes I feel like one of the penguins. That's when I annoy Robert Paul. ----- Original Message ----- From: To: lit-ideas@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: 1/13/2006 8:26:20 PM Subject: [lit-ideas] Re: Wind Farms Yeah -- my daughter believes he was born with a receding gray/white hairline. She only knows him from "First Knight", which she and I watch together and try to decide who is "hotter" -- Connery or Gere (a teenager thinks they're hot? go figure). She does not believe he was ever young. My husband is absolutely appalled that I did not become introduced to existence via Bond movies. That's right. I've never seen a single one. I should probably remedy that if I want to understand anything of pop culture. It's just ... scantily clothed women and lots of things that go "boom" mixed with cool gadgets never did much for me. I think it's a guy thing (Andy?).
