AP: unfortunately it is the BOME (the Bane Of My Existence) that people
have no clue as to what a theory of truth does.
Isn't that a central conundrum of philosophy of science? At least as
regards how far an explanation (or theory of truth, especially a
positivist theory) may "stand behind" empirical data?
