Grants Issued for The Central Park Gates

Directly behind the large statue of Robert Burns, about three blocks
from the Central Park Bandshell, The-Artist-Formerly-Known-as-Timmy
intends to assemble a 30-meter high statue of Bill Gates.

This monolithic appreciation of Bill Gates, Windows marketer, will be
constructed entirely from discarded CPUs and monitors fitted with
Windows 95 and lower.

Monitors forming the statue's anthropomorphic outer shell will display
full-screen .jpgs of Bill Gates smiling at the viewers and passersby.
The Collosus' arms, in homage to Raphael's "Academy," will extend upward
(Plato) and outward (Aristotle).

Periodically, the CPUs running the Bill Gates images will crash and
reboot, and the assembly will play a modified medley of Windows systems
sounds.

The Central Park Gates should be completed by August 2008, just in time
for the apocalypse. Funding will be provided by "The Save a Tree
Foundation by David Ritchie" and "The Peter, Paul, and Mary Fund for
Taking Money from Emerging Artists." The-Artist-Formerly-Known-as-Timmy
is a registered trademark of Steven Jobs for President,Inc.
