D. P. Henry, author (inter alia) of "The most subtle question", passed away
on Oct. 28th, 2004, in Manchester, England.
The title of his book refers to Rabelais's reference (Bk. 2, ch. 7) to the
title of one of the fine books in the library of St Victor's: "The most subtle
question; whether a chimaera bombinating in the void can consume secondary
intentions", and which was debated for teen weeks before the Council of
Constance.
D. Ritchie may have a reference as to whether a subtle answer was found?
Cheers,
JL
