Ursula -If you didn't say your brother sent it to you, I could've sworn it came right out of Mike Geary's head. It has all the earmarks of his sense of humor, imagination and versification. Regardless of who wrote it, it's a beauty! Since he didn't tell you who wrote it, I'd guess he did. Is that far-fetched?

Anyone recognize this poem? My brother (dead for ten years) sent this to me once without attribution. I assumed carelessness on his part. Can't ask him now.PULLING HATS OUT OF RABBITS Invading center stage I strip the magician of all artifice I expose his hidden cards, his pigeons his silken handkerchiefs I dismantle his white tie his collapsible hats I unscrew his hands and throw them to the audience I climb deep into his sleeve for glasses of water and fiery wands reach far into his legs for rabbits and ropes eggs and coffins I strip him to teeth and bone Now they're all yours, he smiles It is his finest trick ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off,digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
