I thought of Helen Caldicott's book when I read in today's paper that the Shahab 3 missile is based on North Korea's No Dong missile. Because my mind didn't want come to terms with the potential human cost of all this...er... saber rattling, I focused on the fact that Shahab was translated in the paper as "shooting star," but there was no translation given for No Dong. The online translation sites say that No Dong in Korean means No Dong in English. Other sites gave me Lee Chang-Dong, a movie director, and a website that allows you to see who owns any domain--DomainTools--which says that NoDongJa.net will be up for auction tomorrow. Is No Dong a person or place perhaps?

Along the way I found this site
http://www.armscontrolwonk.com/1792/forden-on-the-shahab-3
which may interest Lawrence and anyone else with an interest in the weakest link.
