Happy Thanksgiving -- unless, of course, you're an American Indian -- in
which case, I apologize on behalf of European Civilization but I'm damn glad
we won -- mighty pretty country. Sorry about them Reservations. I know
living in dust ain't so very much fun.

The other day I came across this book, which was published by the Plymouth
"Living" Museum. The title is a revisit of the Thanksgiving of 1621. It is
pretty interesting. It tells the story of the first thanksgiving. The
custom, while it originated in this area (not far from P-town, where the
pilgrims first landed) soon spread all over America. In the first
thanksgiving,
the role of the 'native American' was pretty complex. If I find notes about
the book, I will share. Meanwhile, Geary is right, etc. Cheers,

Speranza
