<<When you read the transcripts, Bush evaded nearly every question.>> Not only that, but as he was busy evading, you could see him feeling, reaching, for which one of a half dozen stock answers he should choose. All the stock answers he repeated ad nauseum were direct quotes from Condi's opening statement to the 9/11 commission. I told my 12 year old yesterday that Bush was going to have a press conference which meant he had to answer questions the people asked him, without cue cards. Her response: "Boy! I bet Condi's giving him a pop quiz every day this week!". heh. The denoument, for me, was when he was asked what his biggest mistake in the last three years were. His answer was, "I can't think of one". That's what I like -- humility in a Pres. However, that's 75 days away, and when we get there, things may change. But for now, he is showing that he is determined, for the moment anyway. Also, Bush will send more troops to Iraq. He is telling the American people that the USA needs more troops in Iraq. Iraq is not a quagmire, because Vietnam had swamps and Iraq is a desert. Therefore, it can't be a quagmire. However, Iraq can be quicksand. When you read the transcripts, Bush evaded nearly every question. yrs, andreas www.andreas.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
